- Endurance Race – for 20 drivers upwards
An endurance race is a format devised specifically for teams – ideal for team building exercises and groups aiming to maximise driving time. The number of drivers per team will vary depending on group size with the race length being based on each driver completing 30 minutes driving time. For example: a group containing 30 drivers would be divided into 15 teams of 2 with the race lasting 1 hour; a group containing 42 drivers would be divided into 14 teams of 3 with the race lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes, and so on.
Each endurance race begins with a timed practice/qualifying session giving each driver the chance to familiarise themselves with the circuit layout and karts before the race proper. Following the practice session the karts are arranged in qualifying order ready for the race to begin. Drivers are given the opportunity to decide their own race strategy allowing teams to select who starts, who finishes and every driver change in between. The idea is to score as many laps as possible before the chequered flag. The top three finishing teams will receive trophies for their efforts.
Even when not in the kart, your team can still participate by monitoring your race position deciding the best time to change drivers using the comprehensive race information displayed on our LCD timing screens.
- Heats Event – for 20 drivers upwards
A heats event is designed to allow one eventual race winner to stand atop the podium when all is said and done. This format is based on individual glory. Each driver will take part in a practice session followed by a series of heats where finishing positions earn points; the higher you finish the more point you gain.
Drivers will start from a mixture of grid positions ensuring all competitors start the event on an equal footing. Once all drivers have completed their heats the top drivers will qualify for the grand final with the first three across the finish-line receiving trophies.
During the event competitors can follow everyone’s progress displayed in the drivers’ enclosure on our timing screens.
- Mini Endurance – for 10 to 19 drivers
This format is designed for smaller groups who wish to have all competitors on the circuit throughout the entire duration of the event. Each driver is allocated their own kart and entered into a 10 minute practice/qualifying session followed by two 25 minute races.
After the practice/qualifying session drivers are arranged in qualifying order and set free for the first race. Following 25 minutes of intense racing the chequered flag is waved signaling the end of race one. After a short break race two begins with drivers starting from the position in which they finished race one.
Points are awarded for finishing positions in each race and amalgamated to give each driver one final score – the higher the finishing position the more points gained – with the top three drivers receiving trophies.
